Hello your site has been very very very helpful over the last 2/3 weeks since buying my frog, one question tho he has never used his water bowl to sit in and prefers to sit in the substrate I spray twice a day with dechlorinised water and all last week he was eating readly but for the past 2 days he has gone off his food and has been roaming his tank not sitting prone to ambush anything I have tried to make him take food buy dangling it in front of his face so he takes it but nothing I cleaned him out yesterday changing his substrate and cleaning the water bowl out, I asked other people and they said he might be impacted, but he has been pooing so i think thats a good thing hes not blocked up or anything...am i just being paranoid??
Please reply......

Don't worry about it too much. Believe me, I was paranoid just like you when I first got my little guy. Most of the time, my guy is burrowed undernearth his substrate anyways. When he comes out at night, it is consistently around 2-3 AM. About once or twice a week, he'll spend his entire night in his water dish. When he doesn't unburrow himself at all, dont' worry too much about it. One time, he stayed burrowed for 5 days, no food or anything. When he came out, he was ready to eat Good luck with your frog, I wouldn't worry about him too much regarding his eating habits. What is the temperature of your tank? My guy is more likely to be active at night when the temp is higher, so I use a night bulb now.
